Offering Daily Year-Round Non-Stop Service to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Summer Non-Stop Flights to Chicago O’Hare ORD
Wilmington, NC (December 18, 2017)—Wilmington International Airport (ILM) is pleased to announce that American Airlines is expanding its service at ILM. American Airlines will begin daily year-round non-stop service to DCA in May of 2018 and summer seasonal service to ORD in June of 2018.
American Airlines currently offers year-round non-stop service between ILM and Philadelphia (PHL), Charlotte (CLT), and New York-LaGuardia (LGA). In 2017, American Airlines also offered summer seasonal service on the weekends between ILM and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and, new this year, winter holiday service to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW).
“We have consistently heard feedback from our Business Traveler Group and community stakeholders that additional weekday non-stop flights to DCA would be beneficial. We are excited American has chosen to expand its service at ILM, with additional flight options between ILM and DCA,” stated Julie Wilsey, Airport Director.
Located just three miles from the Nation’s capital, the flight to DCA offers convenient travel to Washington DC. Further, for those connecting through DCA, the airport serves numerous non-stop markets. The American Airlines ILM-DCA flight schedule is:

The summer seasonal non-stop flights between ILM and Chicago O’Hare (ORD) will begin in June and run through Labor Day. During this summer season, non-stop flights will occur daily. The flight is well timed to offer 74 connections beyond Chicago.
