The Wilmington International Airport has exciting news to share! In 2019 the Wilmington International Airport (ILM) reached a major milestone. In partnership with American Airlines, Delta, and United, ILM served 1,075,963 passengers! This number of passengers was a 15% increase over the prior year.(2018) Passenger growth is attributed to: an increase in capacity (larger aircraft were able to accommodate more passengers), an increase in the frequency of flights, and an increase in community support- more residents of New Hanover County, as well as Brunswick and Pender Counties, chose to fly to/from ILM.
To all the passengers that flew with us, we want to say Thanks a Million! Thank you for letting us be part of your reunion and your family vacation. Thank you for flying from ILM as you went to go seal that business deal. We are honored to be part of your milestones. And, for helping us reach ours-we want to say Thanks a Million.
