JetBlue announced this morning it is starting service at the Wilmington International Airport. The airline will offer daily nonstop service between ILM and Boston (BOS) from April 30th-October 25th. JetBlue will operate the flights on their A220, which offers wider seats, large windows and overhead bins, as well as the latest tech and entertainment in-flight.
JetBlue was founded in 2000 on the mission of bringing humanity back to air travel. As New England’s leading leisure airline, the carrier states that their inflight experience offers the most legroom in coach, free high-speed wifi for all, free snacks + drinks, and live TV, movies and more at every seat- plus award-winning service.
“We’re excited to bring JetBlue’s award-winning service to Wilmington this spring, connecting travelers to the vibrant city of Boston,” said Dave Jehn, vice president of network planning and airline partnerships at JetBlue. “This new route not only provides convenient access to Boston’s rich history and cultural attractions but also connects Wilmington travelers to JetBlue’s broader focus city network, offering seamless travel opportunities to destinations across the U.S. and beyond.”
With the nonstop service to Boston, area residents can conveniently fly nonstop to Boston as well as easily connect to 77 nonstop destinations from Boston this summer, including the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, and more.
“We are so excited to add a new air carrier to our line up at ILM, with the addition of JetBlue. JetBlue’s nonstop service to Boston gives travelers even more ways to fly to Boston and all their great connections including many international connections to Europe.
