The New Hanover County Airport Authority is pleased to welcome Mr. Andrew R. Jones to the Authority. Jones was appointed to the Airport Authority by the New Hanover County Commissioners on July 21, 2025, for a four-year term. Jones is Managing Partner, North Carolina for the law firm Michael Best & Friedrich LLP. Mr. Jones counsels businesses, boards of directors, executives, and investors on a wide range of matters, including transactions, corporate governance, and risk mitigation. As the firm’s National Strategic Growth Partner, Andy leads Michael Best’s efforts in expanding the firm through attracting and integrating talented attorneys, groups, and firms in new high-growth markets around the country. A Wilmington native, Jones is active within the community, having served as a board member with numerous community nonprofits. Jones also brings significant experience as an entrepreneur and business leader. New Hanover County Commissioners also re-appointed Mr. Jason Thompson for a second term on the Authority at their June meeting.
