Hurricane Florence Update Sept 16

Update Sunday Sept 16th 8:30pm

Wilmington International Airport (ILM) continues to face challenges due to Hurricane Florence, however we are making progress. Our team has been working hard around the clock.  USCG is operating rescue flights through our FBO and we were able to reopen one runway for VFR flights.

Please note, commercial flights (i.e. via American Airlines, Delta, and United) are not currently occurring. ILM airport is waiting to repair a generator that went out.  Since this generator went out, we do not have power in our terminal.  We are hopeful generator repairs can be made with the air arrival of parts tomorrow.  Please continue to check directly with your carrier regarding rescheduled or scheduled flights.

For now, the Wilmington International Airport team continues to coordinate efforts to make repairs and get things moving. Once we have an update, we will make sure to share the information.  You may also check our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter.
